MOON RADIO
Moon RadioMoon Radio is a lush collaboration between native New Yorker, singer-songwriter Julia Haltigan, and Japanese vibraphone wizard Yusuke Yamamoto. Think dreamy vocals, moody electric vibraphone, vintage synths, and a dash of retro sci-fi magic—like Martin Denny scoring a David Lynch dream sequence.
Their debut single, “Lust For The Moon,” introduced listeners to their hypnotic slow-burn sound—a meditation on longing for the unreachable, and the strange beauty of wanting something you may never touch. Produced by Grammy winner Torbitt Schwartz (aka Little Shalimar of Run The Jewels fame), the track is packed with swirling textures and analog charm. The accompanying music video—a whimsical, surreal fable about a daisy leaving the city to see what’s waiting on the moon—expanded Moon Radio’s world into vivid, dreamlike visuals.
Julia has released six solo records and plays a key role in the feature film La Cocina starring Rooney Mara and directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios. She was also a longtime fixture of the hit immersive theater show Sleep No More. Yusuke has performed with everyone from Karen O to Blue Man Group, and even composed music for Gran Turismo on PlayStation.
Their first live show left the room in a euphoric trance, and they’ve been working their magic ever since.
Their debut album is making it’s way towards earth as we speak. For updates on shows, upcoming releases and all things Moon Radio, please give their accounts a follow: Instagram - Youtube - Spotify
